Event #9 was awesome! Perfect weather, record attendance and a great course, thanks to Tim! Francisco Davila grabbed fastest time of the day with his #4 SMF classed Civic and Glenn Campbell took PAX with his #99 ES classed Miata.
During the 2015 season we saw record attendance, a lot of new faces and we had a lot of fun!
Thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered and the Board of Directors. Everyone stepped up to make this season great!
We are working hard to keep the momentum going into 2016 so keep an eye on the website and Facebook page.

Event #8 was a great time and we had perfect weather for it. Eric Tucker KILLED it with a FP classed 1991 Toyota MR2 running a 39.637 raw time! A big thank you to everyone who helped make this a great event. Glenn Campbell designed an awesome (FAST) course! Our next, and final, event is October 11th at the Air National Guard in Mount Joy. On or before September 15th, the Secretary shall communicate the slate of nominees to the membership. Any five (5) members of the GRR may nominate a candidate(s), by October 1st by furnishing the RE with a written nomination signed by the members and the nominee. The Secretary shall prepare a ballot containing the names of all persons nominated.
Eligible voters are Regular Members age 16 or older on the date of the annual meeting. All voters are eligible to be candidates for the BOD.

The September 6th Autocross event was hot, the temps were in the 90s and the competition was even hotter! Logan Trueblood ran a blistering 54.005 with his SSM classed 2005 Corvette to dominate the fastest time of the day and Mike Whitney took PAX with his ES classed 2004 Miata. Thank you to everyone who suffered through the heat to participate. Big thank you to all the workers running after cones and to Bill Porter for being Event Chair! What an awesome event on August 2nd! Barry Packer had the fastest raw time of the day in his beautiful X-Prepared 1972 Corvette with a 60.535! Glenn Campbell had the fastest PAX time in his E-Street 1999 Miata. Philip Heald stepped up and took on the responsibilities of Event Chair and designed an awesome course! We had 51 drivers including 6 novice drivers and one heck of a crowd at event #6! Our next event is Sunday September 6th at Iowa National Guard. You can preregister here, we'll see you there!

We could not have asked for better weather or a better course at our July 5th event! David Capesius had the fastest raw time of the day and Mike Whitney had the fastest PAX time for the day. Stop me if you've heard this one...It rained...At the GRR autocross... Despite the heavy rain showers during the drivers meeting (right after we cleared the lot of large puddles from the showers the night before) we had a great time! The first two heats were a little damp but, the last two were pretty dry and made for some great lap times. Jason Green was the fastest driver Saturday with a 49.830 raw time, great job Jason! A big thank you to Adam Moore for Event Chair duties and to all the members, racers, volunteers and everyone who came out to watch! A special thank you to the Rock Island Arsenal for graciously allowing the Great River Region the opportunity to use their facility again. See you at the next event!
It was another rainy Solo event for GRR! Everyone had a ton of fun in spite of very soggy conditions. A huge thank you to all the members, racers and especially the workers that made this a great event! GRR branded rain ponchos will be available for purchase if the weather doesn't start cooperating... See you at the next Solo event!
Great news from Great River Region Club Racing! Last weekend, May 2nd & 3rd, GRR had four racers at Blackhawk Farms Raceway for the SCCA Majors race and three of them placed first in their classes!
Jim Victor from Davenport placed 1st in Formula Continental with his Firman RFR. Great job Jim!
Breton Williams from Clinton placed 1st in Super Touring Lite with his Maxda RX7. Great job Breton!
Matt Slavens from Davenport placed 1st in Touring 2 with his Porsche GT3. Great job Matt!

We had another wet one! The second Solo event at Whiteside County Airport was, again, a blast! This time it rained most of the day but, that didn't stop our 34 competitors from posting some very quick times and having a great time. Another big thank you goes out to our members, racers and workers for such a fun time in the rain! See you at the next one!

Our Spring social meet on March 28th at Governor's was a blast! We were able to discuss the upcoming season and listen to input from our membership. 2015 is going to be a great year for GRR!
